Becoming Harvey Telford & Bates

From the 1st December 2014 Bates & Co Shrewsbury Limited will rebrand as Harvey Telford & Bates Chartered Accountants.

As Bates & Co approaches its twenty fifth year in business, it has launched its new colourful and contemporary brand identity, to formally welcome Amy Telford and Danielle Harvey to the Board of Directors.

Danielle has worked for Bates & Co for almost 9 years and Amy since she left college 17 years ago.  After gaining their practicing certificates with the Chartered Institute of Accountants they joined the Board of Directors two years ago.

Bates & Co was founded by Brian Bates in 1990 and today as Harvey Telford & Bates it still remains true to its founding ethos of – explaining accountancy matters in a straightforward and common sense way – making it a popular choice for family-owned, and small to medium sized companies.

However, its clients can be assured that whilst the Accountancy Practice will become known as Harvey Telford & Bates from the 1st December 2014, HTB for short, nothing else is changing including its registered legal name which will remain Bates & Co Shrewsbury Ltd.

The new branding developed by Reech Media, one of Shropshire’s leading full service marketing agencies, was designed to give Harvey Telford & Bates, a professional but less corporate look to reflect their client base, with the use of bright colours – pink, yellow, purple and teal – firm favourites with Danielle and Amy.

Over the next few months the new brand identity will be rolled out across all of HTB’s marketing materials; their new website www.htbaccountants.co.uk, also designed and developed by Reech, was launched earlier this month.

Brian Bates said:

 ‘A lot has changed in the business since I founded it 25 years, significantly the growth and development of the roles of both Amy and Danielle.  As they are now Board Directors it is only right that we change our name to clearly demonstrate that the business is far more than just me, with the name change formally recognising the importance of both Amy and Danielle to the business. 

I am delighted with our new brand identity; it clearly conveys us as a modern, professional but approachable business’.
