Spring Statement 2018

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond presented his Spring Statement to Parliament on Tuesday 13 March 2018. The first Spring Statement of this kind to be given, it provided an update on the following:

  • The overall health of the economy;
  • Office for Budget Responsibility forecasts;
  • Progress update since the Autumn 2017 Budget;
  • Introduced the changes that the government is considering, with invites for peoples and business views to be provided.

The Autumn Budget is the main fiscal event in the year, and will take place in November 2018, announcing the full budget and changes for 2018 – 2019.
